Valentinas: Born in Kyiv (Kiev), Ukraine, into a Ukrainian-speaking family, grown up in a Ukrainian-Russian environment - bilingual from the very childhood. In 1990, moved to Lithuania. Graduated from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Master of Science in Civil Engineering. Works as translator and localizer since 1995, mainly in the fields of IT (incl. localization) and Civil Engineering. Chairman of Lithuanian Translators Guild. Working languages: Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Russian (source and target), English & Byelorussian (source only).
Halina: Born in Svencionys, polyethnic region of Lithuania, grown up in a multilingual (Lithuanian/Russian/Polish/Yiddish/Byelorussian) environment. Graduated from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Master of Engineering (technology of constructional materials), and Vilnius University, Bachelor of German Philology. Joined Valentinas several years ago; now - working as a full-time freelance translator. Working languages: Lithuanian, Russian (source and target), German, Ukrainian & Byelorussian (source only).
