dry etching Explanation: Here is some information on this in Spanish, which mentions the term "chemical dry etching." I'd hesitate to use the word "chemical" because there are three different types of dry etchings mentioned: https://www.plasma.com/es/glosario-de-tecnologia-del-plasma/... Here is another site that mentions the term "dry etching": https://www.plasmaetch.com/dry-etching.php. I went to art school and did etchings, but am a little out of touch with the latest techniques, but my guess is that these are artists using industrial techniques for fine art purposes. If you want to be sure, try contacting the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, NM, which is a well-respected school for printmaking. |
