My strength as a translator is based on a lifetime's experience in using my language skills when managing a wide range of practical business and legal topics for Ornua, one of Ireland's major dairy product exporters. My final position before my retirement in 2008 was Company Secretary, where my responsibilities included:

· Corporate Affairs (including EU Affairs & Information services)
· Administration (including Legal Affairs, Insurance, Travel, Telecommunications, Trade

· Technical Services (including Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Veterinary matters)
Earlier roles were focused on a responsibility for EU affairs that included the following topics:

· Competition policy, both as regards agricultural bodies and transport
· Free movement of goods in terms of food composition, labelling and protected names

· WTO policy and anti-dumping duties
