Source text - English The production process is controlled by a complex network of control loops. To know how the process is running and what is happening in the unit, it is necessary to have most of the measured parameters displayed in the control room. With quick access to process data, the operator can make a process change or respond to a process upset quickly to bring the process back into control.
Plant efficiency, product quality and energy consumption are directly linked to the quality of the control system. Sequence control is used in batch operations to minimize manual operation. PID control loops are used throughout the plant to optimize processes. There are three control modes in a typical PID control loop: manual, automatic, and cascade.
Manual Mode: The operator enters an output value to move a control valve.
Automatic Mode: The operator enters a set point. The PID controller calculates the output based on the set point and the value of process variable. The operator can not enter an output value in Auto mode.
Cascade Mode: The output from an automatic controller becomes the set point of a cascade controller. The cascade controller calculates and sends an output to the control valve.
An auto/cascade loop can be configured as needed to link two PID controllers together to optimize process control.
The control is done by a distributed control system (DCS) which is located in an air conditioned central control room. All control valves and measurements (not including local gauges) are connected to the DCS which does the control work. The operation of each production unit must be monitored continuously. Some sequence controls must be started by an operator (as listed in the operating manual). For continuous processes, the operator has to make an appropriate adjustment only when an alarm goes off or when there is a process upset. The level of automation in the plant is close to 100%.

The topographical features of Xinjiang may be described as alternating mountains and basins, the basins being surrounded by high mountains. Local people call this characteristic simply “Two basins between three mountains”. The Altai Mountains lie in the north of Xinjiang and the Kuenlun Mountains are in the south, while the Tianshan range runs across the middle, dividing Xinjiang into two parts: the Tarim Basin stretches across the southern side and the Jungar Basin across the north. People customarily called the land south of Tianshan Mountains South Xinjiang, and the land north of Tianshan Mountains North Xinjiang. The Tarim Basin, the largest of its kind in China, is located between Tianshan Mountains and Kuenlun Mountains. In the centre of the Tarim Basin stretches the Taklimakan Desert, the largest mobile desert in China and the second largest in the world. The 2100-km-long Tarim River, the longest inland river in China, runs through the Taklimakan. In the east of Xinjiang is the Turpan Basin, 154m below sea level at its lowest point, making it the lowest place in China. Xinjiang's climate is typical temperate zone continental arid climate. According to statistics from the end of 2001, annual precipitation in Xinjiang is only around 100 mm. A large number of rivers are the result of meltwater from the mountainous regions. Oases lie on the edges of basins and in river valleys, with oases taking up 5% of the total area of southern Xinjiang, creating characteristics typical of an oasis ecosystem.

12.1 During your employment with the Company and after its termination you must not:
a) Use for your own purposes or those of any other person, firm, company, association or other organisation whatsoever; or
b) Disclose to any person, firm, company, association or other organisation whatsoever
any confidential information (as defined) about or belonging to the Company or to any third party (which includes clients, suppliers, employees and officers of the Company) which was learned or disclosed to you in confidence in the course of your employment.
12.2 Confidential information includes, but is not limited to:
a) Lists and contact details of clients, and details of contracts with clients and/or of their requirements;
b) Business plans and policies, marketing strategies, sales reports and research results;
c) Projects or tenders or prospective projects or tenders;
d) Financial reports, budgets, trading statements and pricing lists, pricing structures and/or pricing strategies;
e) Technical information and know-how relating to the processes and operations devised, owned or used by the Company which is not in the public domain including, but not limited to, unpublished inventions, designs, plans, computer programmes, research activities, formulae and ideas; and
f) Personnel information, including the identity of employees, officers and consultants employed or engaged by the Company, or any other professional information regarding such personnel.
12.3 These restrictions shall cease to apply to information or knowledge which has (otherwise than through your default) become available to the public generally.
12.4 During your employment you shall not make, otherwise than for the benefit of the Company, any notes, memoranda, records or other documents relating to any confidential information about the Company, its business and its dealings with clients. You shall not use them or permit them to be used otherwise than for the benefit of the Company. All such documents made by you (in whatever medium) relating to the business of the Company shall be and remain the property of the Company and shall be delivered by you to the Company upon request.
13. Intellectual Property
13.1 You acknowledge that all Intellectual Property Rights subsisting or attaching to all Intellectual Property made, originated or developed by you at any time in the course of your employment with the Company shall belong to the Company absolutely to the fullest extent permitted by law. You undertake, at the request and expense of the Company, to execute all such documents and give as much assistance as the Company's considers to be necessary or desirable to vest any Intellectual Property Rights in the Company absolutely. You hereby assign by way of present assignment of future rights all Intellectual Property Rights in any Intellectual Property made, originated or developed by you in the course of your employment.
13.2 You irrevocably and by way of security appoint the Company now or in the future existing to be your attorney to act in your name and on your behalf, and as your attorney to execute and/or sign all such instruments, and/or do all such things and generally to use your name, for the purpose of giving to the Company the full benefit of the provisions of this Clause 13.
13.3 For the purpose of this clause 13 the following expressions shall have the following meanings:
Intellectual Property means inventions, designs, discoveries, processes, formulae, notations, improvements, know-how, goodwill, reputation, get-up, trade names and marks, internet domain names or similar electronic identifiers, logos, devices, plans, models, drawings, computer software, databases, literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works as defined by the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 (UK);
Intellectual Property Rights means patents, designs, rights (whether registered or unregistered), copyrights, database rights, rights in confidential information and all other forms of intellectual property (in each case in any part of the world and whether or not registered or registrable, and to the fullest extent of those rights, for the full period of those rights and all extensions and renewals of those rights), and all applications for registration of those rights.
