Emma Mandley was educated at the Lycée Français de Londres and her first degree was in Italian and History of Art. She also has a masters degree in translation from the University of Bristol, for which she was awarded a distinction. She translates into English from French and Italian, specialising in arts and literary translation. Her most recent publication is 'A Friend in the Dark' (Walker Books), a translation of Pascal Ruter's 'Le coeur en Braille', a novel for older children: "[…] a poignant, sensitive and eloquently translated French novel […]" (Armadillo). She is based in London. |
