being ostentatious
You don't need to translate "eccedere" or "inutili", because ostentation is by definition excessive and unnecessary. So "the man who likes to dress with taste and style without being ostentatious".

Or rather, to translate the whole thing, "the fashion-conscious man who likes to dress with taste and style without being ostentatious."
