Medical (general)
coronary artery dissection
In a description of the surgical repair of a dissection in a patient's right coronary artery:
"...dissezione spiraliforme a partenza dall'ostio della coronaria destra trattata con efficace procedura di recupero del vero lume coronario con filo guida, *accollamento del flap intimale* e impianto di 3 stent medicati ... "
Amazing what they can do, isn't it? Wikipedia has a very informative article on aortic dissection, by the way: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aortic_dissection
What does "accollamento" mean in this context? The report is saying that they recovered or re-opened the true lumen of the artery, and then ... did something ... with the intimal flap (the section of tissue that separates the true lumen from the false lumen created by the dissection.
How would you translate this little phrase?
Thanks again.

flap attachment
It means something like "glue together":
"Coronary luminal obstruction can be remodeled
by attaching portions of intimal flaps, thrombi, or
other obstruction material to adjacent vessel walls by means
of welding, gluing, or molding..."
