Am translating a profile for a skier where they have to state their likes and dislikes (along with various other details on their personalities)
Next to the question "A stupidity?" (i.e. something you think is stupid), he has written "Cinque contro uno"
I think it's some kind of on-line thing (forum, social network??) but don't know for sure. Any ideas??

male masturbation
Hello Fiona
when I was a teenager, "cinque contro uno" was a funny way to refer to male masturbation (as in the five fingers against... well, you know). Online you will find several references to this use of the phrase.
Clearly you will have to choose an equally funny expression... I don't think I can help you with that :-)

Thank you Grey :-) I was hesitant to post this at first, since I thought it was on the verge of being offensive... But Fiona reassured me it is not!

Comment: "I think this is the best answer as once you know what it means, you can choose the appropriate translation to suit the context. Thanks!"

pocket hockey
This just came to me as I was posting a discussion entry. It's not a bad option since it maintains the sports reference.
You could also go with a literal translation - "five on one" - but it might require some extra context to get the reference, since it's not as common of an expression in English. Although, according to the Urban Dictionary, it is apparently used.

: Maybe, but it's also the term for just regular old "pool" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pocket_billiards - @Tom LOL. Good point, but maybe too sophisticated for the context?
