الفرق بين الدبلة و المحبس

الدبلة هي: خاتم الخطوبة/الزواج. اما المحبس فهو: خاتم اخر سادة بدون أي زخرفة يلبس فوق الخاتم الأصلي (الدبلة) و الغرض منه هو حبس أو منع الدبلة من الوقوع أو الخروج من يد العروس و من هنا جاءت التسمية (محبس) و في عصرنا الحديث, تم الاستعاضة بخاتمي التوينز عن الحاجة الى وجود الدبلة و المحبس. و الله أعلم

Okay, I think I have it cleared up now. I looked in a different dictionary and محبس can actually mean engagement ring. The other dictionary I have just says "wedding ring". Thank you once again for your help, Lamis.

As I said in my note to Lamis below:

In the text, the woman keeps saying that the دبله comes with either "twins" or a محبس , and this is what is confusing me. Her fiancé wants to buy a دبله only, without the twins or the محبس . I now understand what twins refers to, but I do not understand the difference between محبس and دبله . I'm thinking maybe one is a wedding ring while the other is an engagement ring, but I can't seem to confirm this anywhere.
