Portuguese term

orgãos sociais

Portuguese to English Bus/Financial Law (general)
In the context of a professional association, would this be 'governing bodies', 'Society bodies', 'committees'?
'Committees' seems to be the most common term in professional bodies in the UK, but then how to differentiate from 'Conselho'?

Discussion

Teresa Freixinho May 18, 2021:
Douglas, o seu contexto não ficou muito claro. "Social" é uma palavra comumente usada para traduzir "corporate" no sentido societário. No seu caso parece então que talvez se trate dos órgãos executivos, algo como executive bodies.
Mark Robertson May 17, 2021:
@Douglas Your suggestion "governing bodies" is my choice.

Portuguese term (edited): orgão social

Member Body of the Association

social: welfare, corporate or partnership.

Here they might be 'associative bodies'. It would be odd if there were more than one Governing Body, namely Conselho.
Example sentence:

GENERAL BODY: a. Formation: The General Body of the Association shall be supreme body of the Association.

executive bodies

O contexto não está muito claro. Esses órgãos sociais não seriam as diversas diretorias da associação profissional?
