I'm translating something on the interaction between preschool teachers and children under 3, and it often talks about "Berührungs- und Bewegungsinteraktion". I agreed on "physical contact" with the author for "Berührungsinteraktion", but I couldn't find any plausible translations for "Bewegungsinteraktion" and he didn't have any suggestions. From what I understand, it's referring to when the preschool teacher moves with the child, for example when singing a song with movements, the teacher helps the child stamp their feet or clap their hands.
A sentence that doesn't help much but is all I've got for now:
"Der für die Pflege besonders wichtige Bereich der „Berührungs- und Bewegungsinteraktion“ fand bisher in Studien zur Qualität in Kindertageseinrichtungen kaum Berücksichtigung."
Any ideas?

The *moving and handling* aspect of physical development involves providing opportunities for young children to be active and interactive and to develop their coordination, control and movement.

Who should attend?
This is course is suitable for child care practitioners who have the role of handling children in all aspects of a child care setting.
All of the instances of this term that I've found involve a larger concept, which includes developing awareness and control over the body and interacting/conversing nonverbally with other bodies.
But of course, for your case, it's whatever the author meant. If it's simply an interaction that involves moving the child, that could be "handling."

So it's not necessarily separate from the Berührungsinteraktion, although the Berührung can occur without the Bewegung (e.g. patting the child's back).
