This is surely the most untranslateable word in the Swedish language. My suggestion is a good deal more prosaic and less striking and romantic than Shangri-La, by several orders of magnitude, but I offer it for what it's worth.

agree Eva-Marie Adams : Allthough Shangri-La sounds mysterious- I tend to agree with Peter. I think a smultronställe can be ever so humble (not so grand as Shangri-La) :)
