Discussion

Non-ProZ.com Mar 14, 2005:
Just as I thought! Thank you I was not sure.
Sven Petersson Mar 13, 2005:
The word "fin" is used to indicate that the flow of water should not be powerful enough to displace the spillage. The water should only flush it out/away.
Non-ProZ.com Mar 13, 2005:
could you explain why the word "fin" is used?

Peer comment(s):

agree Antje Harder : I'd suggest "fine water spray" (as opposed to "water spray jet"). - Sorry, I meant to say "water jet", e.g. http://www.geocel.co.uk/PDFs/COSHH/Dow Corning Plumba Grip.p...

Hmmm, I think "fine water spray" is tautological, but I freely admit that many use the expression.

Commom/usual expression. Usually used for water. Example : \"Fukta såddens yta med en fin vattendusch\" (garden mould).
In our case, however, it is used to describe the process of sprinkling \"skum pulver\".

But no, its a mistake ! It describes the process of sprinkling water off course and not \"skum pulver\". There should be a comma after (CO2) !
