English term

professionally facilitated and specialty treatment providers and structures

English Social Sciences General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters recovery from addiction
Dear colleagues,
I’m not sure about the meaning of “professionally facilitated and specialty treatment providers and structures” taken from a passage below, about a new way of conceiving recovery from addiction.
Might it mean that there are specialized staff and structures as well as people who are not specialized but are “assisted” by professionals?
Thank you so much for your help?

I hope this makes an awkwardly written sentence a bit easier to understand. 'Facilitated' basically means 'run/managed'.

They're using 'facilitate' rather than 'run' or 'manage' because it sounds more participatory, rather than just telling people what to do. For example, you can facilitate a seminar or workshop, which basically means you're in charge but letting others do the work.
Note from asker:
Thank you so much, Phil, for your help! I thought that "professionally facilitated" might have also another meaning, because I've found for instance "Evaluating the Effectiveness of Professionally‐Facilitated Volunteerism in the Community‐Based Management of High‐Risk Sexual Offenders: "... it seems as if in some cases "facilitated" might have also another nuance of meaning...
Thank you so much, Phil, for your further explanation! Have a nice Sunday!

neutral AllegroTrans : This is no more than a (rather clumsy) rewording of the first answer
