Back to editing and unsure about this being translated as "conducted".
Any bright ideas this bright, sunny afternoon?

agree philgoddard : The others should be agreeing with you instead of posting synonyms :-) I agree "conducted" is wrong, though.

neutral Jennifer Levey : 'menée' is used here in a non-technical way, so I would avoid using any term that might lead a reader to assume it is being used in a very specific technical sense (in this case, electromagnetic induction).

agree SafeTex : Ghits says this is the most common verb among the five I tried. And "induced" can be followed by almost anything (stretching, solvents etc.) so I don't agree with Robin's reservation

neutral Tony M : I would echo Robin's comment: this term has specific technical connotations that are unwanted here; worse, it isn't really what is happening: 'induce' tends to connote something almost unwanted... incidental...

French term (edited): mené

effected

I think this is in the sense of 'mener une enquète', i.e. carry out, perform, etc.
In this instance, I think 'effected' is the right style and tone.

And another.
