Contracts
Hello, I'm translating about contracts and I'm a bit confused between 'garantía' and 'garantía real.' I wonder if 'Contrato de garantía' is 'Guaranty Contract' and 'Contrato de garantía real' is a 'Surety Contract' but I'm not quite sure.

Personal guarantee vs. collateral security or securitis/zation agreement
Not clear whether this is Mexico or another Hispanic country,
The first one would def. include a personal guarantee/ guaranty, for instance given by company directors for the company's borrowings. Whether a guarantee given by the company itself could considered 'personal' vs. corporate is another matter.
(West) contrato de garantía financiera > financial guarantee contract.
Garantía real > security (garantía real sobre un titíulo ; a security interest in an instrument Note AMM > this would be a securitis/zation or collateralis/zation scenario, whilst is wide enough to embrace a property mortgage / UK land charge.
In the UK, a suretyship would be contained in a Deed under Seal as no 'consideration' - quid pro quo is being given.

Example sentence:
A personal guarantee is an agreement regarding debts owed. It is used by borrowers to show lenders they intend to pay their company's debts personally.

Hello Adrian, thank you for your input, and yes, it's for Mexico. |
I meant it was written in Mexico, not for Mexico. |
