Estoy bastante seguro de lo que significa. No sé si habrá alguna terminología mejor al uso, que dejar "Fat" y "Norm" en su forma original.
Fat: En términos de audio, un sonido que tiene una exageración moderada de los registros medios y bajos-superiores… El sonido o sonidos suenan “grandes” (gordotes), no suenan flacos, delgados, escuchimizados ni raquíticos… Un sonido “con cuerpo”.
Normal mode: (le suelen faltar frecuencias bajas… pero no me voy a poner muy técnico en esto…) Sería el modo “normal” para cualquier reproductor casero… (Algunas frecuencias bajas, por debajo de los 100 hercios creo que se pierden...)

I would say that, in general, electronic machines or devices keep their original English term in Spanish-speaking countries, especially if they are imported and it is the English term that is printed in the product. So, I would just leave "fat" and "norm". Hope you find this useful. Cheers.
