Bureau of Public Affairs: Office of Press Relations
The Office of Press Relations supports the President and Secretary of State by explaining the foreign policy of the United States and the positions of the Department of State to domestic and foreign journalists. The office also provides logistical support and expertise to the Secretary of State and other Department officials for events involving media coverage/participation.
Specifically, the Press Office responds to press queries, conducts media interviews, monitors media for breaking international events, and coordinates special press briefings and conference calls. They also support the Secretary of State’s public events in addition to those of the Deputy Secretary and other senior Department officials.
In addition, the Press Office coordinates interview requests from the national media for senior State Department officials other than the Secretary of State. The staff proactively pitches interviews on a wide variety of issues to national media outlets and places editorials in major U.S. newspapers.

: I think I'd go for U.S. State Department's Press Office in the less official context of a newspaper article

: It's called 'Department of State' not 'State Department.' I'm surprised to see so many people agreeing without even checking.

Спасибо за комментарий, Михаил! Я переводил то, что было 'задано' в 'исходнике' (а именно - 'Госдеп США'). Как еще один 'допустимый' (?) вариант перевода - в данном КОНТЕКСТЕ - предлагаю: U.S./US DoS's Press Office. Further comments?

Спасибо, Михаил! Но... Office of Press Relations=Press Office и входит в состав Bureau of Public Affairs наряду с Office of International Media Engagement, of Public Liaison, of Digital Engagement, of Broadcast Services и др. http://www.state.gov/r/pa/
