Americans are going crazy, esp. this summer, now that Covid restrictions and health orders have virtually disappeared, with heading off to their favorite spots, or to places they have never been to before, here and abroad. It's known as freedom. There has even been a noticeable uptick in requests for my specialty, literary translations, esp. over the past month.

It depends what you mean by on the rise. If you mean rising to pre-covid levels, then all of them, I suppose. If you mean long-term trends which are unrelated to covid, then I wouldn't like to guess.

Other – I don’t know | Jun 23, 2021 |
I suppose my customers who deal with consumer goods (labels and instructions) will be back on track, but with all the different virus variants and strains that may arise it’s probably too early to tell…

I don't really know. The Covid scenario hasn't really affected my work situation - I'm still getting as much as I need. My market research client was quiet for the first year, but they've bounced back in the past few months. The rest are pretty much the same as ever.

Construction is the biggest element in the budgets of most countries. It includes everything from complete railway and road infrastructure to single-family swimming pools or interior fit-outs for shops, as well as all the materials and machinery, contracts, legislation, and tendering documentation that all construction work generates.

I'm actually experiencing a considerable increase in volume and income during the Covid period, except for June/July/2020, which were the worst months in my entire career. However, I notice the volume per client has been reduced, above all regarding engineering projects, which is my major area of work. So I think we were a bit afraid of the crisis in the beginning and invested more in networking. In my case, I got several new clients and work in areas that were not so regular for me before. And we hear so many colleagues complaining that it's a bad period for them in all aspects. So, my opinion is, those who were cautious in the beginning, worked on negative forecasts and adopted measures to prevent it are the ones who didn't really "feel" the crises so negatively.

For me, it was e-learning, medical equipments & audiovisual. Tourism & hospitality used to cover 1/3 of my total workload, but these assignments never come back... Gaming is also in huge demand of linguistic talents, with BATs (Chinese version of GAFA).
