OK - well I don't see any tie in with "event-related activities = événementiel" in the strict sense of the word.
I suggest getting around the problem by saying something like:
"Editorial referencing/listing does little to heighten exposure" (literally: ... is not conducive to enhancing / building awareness)
"visibilité" here is "exposure". They want a higher profile or to have greater impact.
