pain under control
I would translate the sentence like this:
Therefore, we are discharging the patient from our hospital for the scheduled return trip since her pain is well under control.

What is it that doesn't sound right to you? "Controlled"? IMO that's what it means: the patient is doing well enough to start her trip home under the prescribed pain treatment. "Kompensiert" usually means the symptom has not completely resolved, but it does not hinder the patient's plans, and there is no danger of sudden exacerbations. That's what "controlled" says as well.

I found the definition of ‘schmerzkompensation’ but I didn’t found ‘pain compensation’ Then I thinK we can say { zum Beispiel unter einer geeigneten Analgetikatherapie}, once the patient was discharged from the hospital ‘schmerzkompensiert’, i. e with his heath condition improved.
Sb.'s condition has improved. [health] Jds. Gesundheitszustand hat sich verbessert.
libr.printpubl. - https://www.dict.cc/?s=verbessert Krank
- https://flexikon.doccheck.com/de/Schmerzkompensiert

Ok, you're right. But I was thinking about pain. I didn't expçain well: ...dass ein Patient sein Schmerzniveau subjektiv als erträglich empfindet, zum Beispiel unter einer geeigneten Analgetikatherapie.
