See more Dear colleagues, I'm glad to announce the first international edition of the Online Summer School (OSS 2011), organized by the European School of Translation, in partnership with AITI, Unilingue and ProZ.com, which will take place from 12 to 30 September on the Internet. English-speaking participants can attend a series of online international conferences held in English on the most relevant issues facing translators today (from controlled languages to machine translation, from post-editing to cloud computing). The conferences will feature some of the most authoritative names in the translation and localization industries. Speakers will include Jaap van der Meer, director of TAUS, Yves Champollion, founder of Wordfast, Kirti Vashee, VP of WW Enterprise Translation Sales for Asia Online and Jost Zetsche, founder of the International Writers’ Group. Attendees will also be able to follow four meetings dedicated to the main “cloud computing” translation software, thus obtaining an overview of new generation tools. And, most important of all, thanks to our partnership with ProZ.com, all our attendees will be entitled to follow (without additional costs) the Great Translation Debate virtual event on 29th September, when OSS 2011 attendees will take part in this ProZ.com and TAUS major industry event. You will find more information in our Online Summer School 2011 press release. Best wishes (and thanks to ProZ.com for their precious support), Andrea Spila Director of Studies European School of Translation http://www.e-schooloftranslation.org/en ▲ Collapse | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Online Summer School 2011: The Future of the Profession Protemos translation business management system | Create your account in minutes, and start working! 3-month trial for agencies, and free for freelancers!
