I used to collect them, but got tired after a while.
If you google "nigerian scam", you may read on how involved and complex the whole scam really is.

Be very careful with these kind of money scams, NEVER answer them directly as they are run by highly criminal individuals who once they get hold of your e-mail address never let you go.ANd of course NEVER EVER give any details out.

Yes, and one of the oldest around... this was discussed in various threads over the last few days:

What I fail to see is the relevance in the Events & Announcements forum, which is designed to "announce language-related events, local powwows, calls for papers, etc.".
