Я придерживаюсь термина designing поскольку не просто математический расчет (calculation или даже computation, если привлекаются средства типа компьютеров) имеется в виду, а ПРОЕКТИРОВАНИЕ со всеми сопряженными с этим нюансами. То есть расчет в плане конструирования! Это важно.
