THE EFFECT OF WINDFLOW VELOCITY ON DUSTING INTENSITY OF TAILINGS

In this study the results were used from the previous research. In particular, it is suggested to use formal characterization of dust intensity dependence on the beach height. Characteristic curves were obtained by the authors of the paper (Baklanov and Rigina, 1998) based on the analysis and processing of empirical dependencies of dusting intensity on velocity of oncoming flow. For
instance, dusting intensity dependence q (according to Ivanov B.V.) within the range of heights h from 0 m to 280 m can be described using linear function q 15.2 1.2 h , g/(m2.sec). For tailings height of 180 and 200 m dusting intensity values are 80 and 104 g/(m2.sec), correspondingly, i.e. 30% growth is observed.
