Yet again, Multiran's "group transformer" is not convincing.
Thanks!

shared transformer
Alex, now that you have given a different context, I'd have to give a different answer. To me, "shared" sounds more natural here than "common" (as opposed to "dedicated").
By the way, I'd advise you to steer clear of ngpedia.ru unless you really know what you are doing. It gives you a random heap of automatically generated book excerpts containing a given search work, whith are totally unrelated to each other, yet merged into a single page without any separators and without human checking. So, some phrases are quoted totally out of context and may cause a great deal of confusion.

oops... search *word*, sorry

three-phase transformer bank
For three-phase power, one can either use a three-phase transformer with the windings for all the phases on the same core (three-limb, five-limb, or shell), or use a three-phase _bank_ consisting of three identical single-phase transformers. The latter arrangement is known as "групповой трансформатор" in Russian.

: it is rather a "single-phase transformer bank"

Thanks. Neither is fully unambiguous - to be exact, we'd have to say "a three-phase bank of single-phase transformers"
