Maybe RISHUMA would be best described as documentation.

agree Ron Armon : See also this link: http://www5.domaindlx.com/mishpativri/shlihut7.doc (page 6 article (1)) As to רישום how about Portrayal?

3 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks, Ron – I'm choosing your reply as you were first, and because I agree that "rishumah" here means simply documentation (מפי בני מערבא is actually the title of the article – the subtitle is standard Hebrew, not Aramaic, so is straightforward). But thanks to you both. - O-S"

Residents of the land of Israel (as opposed to those of Babylonia)

Bene Ma‘arava [literally, "sons of the west"] is a standard Aramaic term for the residents of the land of Israel, as opposed to the residents of Babylonia, who are referred to as Benei Midhnaha ["sons of the east"].

Also, Risumeh is Aramic for "its record"and thus 'מפי בני מערבא' על דרכי רישומה של מסורת המקומות הקדושים בארץ–ישראל בימי הביניים
means "from what the residents of the land of Israel say according to the methods of its record of the tradition of [the identity of] the holy places in the land of Israel in the Middle Ages"
