French term

"Nous vous souhaitons de passer un agréable moment parmi nous"

French to English Other Advertising / Public Relations menu
This is on the front page of a menu of a top class restaurant. Somehow I can't seem to combine all the elements in my attempts at translating it.

We hope you will enjoy your dining experience

One suggestion. The word experience includes "parmi nous" in my opinion.

It is used quite frequently, actually. More often than I thought!

Peer comment(s):

neutral writeaway : imho, don't think it is advisable to 'qualify' the dining experience. it's supposed to be a top level restaurant -they know their food is great-just want customer to enjoy it :-)

agree Kevin Kelly : The French source text "qualifies" the experience, so should the target text.

thanks
neutral Michele Fauble : agree with writeaway - enjoy covers the agréable

agree meggy : I think this sounds excellent, and I really don't see anything wrong with qualifying the experience!

Nice one, thank you!!
agree DocT : 'wish' corresponds to 'souhaitons' unlike 'hope'

Your Dining Pleasure is Our Concern OR An Exceptional Dining Experience

whatever you use, i would avoid things beginning with we hope etc...They just don't ring true in English....One wouldn't start out with the focus on the restaurant

Comment: "To GB diners (this is a hotel situated in the north of France), this would maybe sound like a US corporate-stle slogan. Thanks anyway..."
