French term

tension

French to English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations
I'm tempted to classify this as architecture - it refers to a pack design for a champagne bottle. The glossary gives me only engineering suggestions. Here is the sentence:
"veiller à respecter la tension entre l’étiquette (valeurs de production) et la collerette (valeurs de consommation) et éviter l’effet de prolongement induit par la voie Métal (= the name given to the design concept in question). I've been thinking lamely along the lines of 'interplay'...

Discussion

Jack Dunwell Apr 3, 2008:
Oh Dear! Thanks Ormiston. Here in the great southwest the clouds descend...again!
ormiston (asker) Apr 3, 2008:
to Fourth unfortunately it is dead serious - any sparkle is presumably inside the bottle
Jack Dunwell Apr 3, 2008:
Ormiston would it be true to say, and in keeping with the rest of the Blurb, that this is a humorous little piece carrying its message thro' drole exaggeration?
Angela Dickson (X) Apr 3, 2008:
somebody needs to do a rigorous study on the effects of champagne on blood pressure - I will selflessly put myself forward as a volunteer.
ormiston (asker) Apr 3, 2008:
correction obviously this is not medical - urgency affects my blood pressure!

interplay

Have you classified this under the right subject? My doctor has been known to favour red wine, but has never yet prescribed champagne.
