Szerintem a mellékelt NYT link kétségtelenül erröl (is) szól.
Lehet, hogy a Times cikkirójának nagyobb a szókincse? Már a gondolatért is bocsánatot kérek.

: Valóban ez szerepel az Országh-Futász-Kövecses nagyszótárban, de ha bárki itt (USA) ezt hallja, azt gondolja, hogy "you're cold'.. Megkérdeztem "monolingual" férjemet is, számára mit mond a "catch a chill". Válasz, "That it got chilly. That you are cold."

: Szerintem a felfázás lényege, hogy valaki "alulról" kapja hideget, például ha hideg kövön vagy földön ül, aminek a fent említett hólyaghurut az eredménye, nem pedig a nátha. Ezért a külön kifejezés, tehát nem "meg" hanem felfázás.
