***Food authority EFSA boosts pesticide treadmill***

http://www.gmwatch.org/news/latest-news/17199

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) chose the summer holiday ‘dead zone’ period to publish a protocol for the implementation of a major derogation (exemption) from Europe’s pesticide law. The derogation will allow dangerous pesticides that cause cancer, birth defects, and endocrine disruption to continue to be used in spite of the fact that they are due to be banned under the EU pesticides regulation 1107/2009.

Wie würdet ihr diese Überschrift übersetzen? (Darf ruhig ganz frei sein)

Oct 12, 2016 00:13: Cilian O'Tuama changed "Level" from "Non-PRO" to "PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (3): Steffen Walter, Johanna Timm, PhD, Cilian O'Tuama

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Finde ich gut und auf jeden Fall besser als die Originalüberschrift.
Was die "Pestizid-Tretmühle" sein soll, versteht man erst ganz am Ende des Textes (Resistance caused by overuse of pesticides needs to be countered by use of more pesticides, according to the Authority. This is the chemical treadmill – a dead-end street.). Deine Vorschläge funktionieren als Überschriften viel besser; da weiß man sofort woran man bei dem Text ist.
Olaf Reibedanz (asker) Oct 11, 2016:
Danke euch! Ich hätte auch noch zwei Ideen:

"EFSA weicht Pestizid-Vorschriften auf"
"EFSA will Pestizid-Vorschriften aufweichen"

Wie findet ihr das?
