After completion of the work, shut-down cranes may only be reactivated once the SC has approved
the reactivation in consultation with the coordinator/plant management. Prior to approval, the SC
must ensure that:
· work on or near the crane has been fully completed,
· the entire crane is once again safe to use, and
· all workers have left the crane.
During the work, the crane rail walking area, as well as the ladder/ascent to the crane rail walking
area, must be kept free of obstruction.
