这副雪柳白鹭画出自于南宋时代的无名画师,以极罕见的细致笔法把白鹭的羽毛一笔一笔的描绘出来。

There is not much info on this painting, so I couldn't find its English name. Can someone please help?

Willow in snow... see an illustration: http://www.esgweb.net/Html/ldmh/huaniao (although not the Song piece, I think it should be very close or a an imitation)... it should be willow, because: http://www.nju.edu.cn/njuc/plantsweb/species/muxike/xueliu.h...

This must not be the right painting because year 1600 doesn't belong to the Sung dynasty. Please ignore.

Thanks
agree Anthony Sariti : Although wrong painting, seems obviosly the same genre. Egret on Willow With Snow sounds better than my version.

Thanks. I agree, either "Egret on Snowy Willow" or "Egret on Willow With Snow" would do.

Egret Perching on Fontanesia

Egret Perching on (a) Fontanesia (tree)

I looked up the description of the painting and based my translation on the description.

Egret on Snowy Willow

Without seeing the painting, I'm not 100% sure, but the description of the painting I have seen talks about a 白鹭 perched high in the "branches" of a 雪柳枝 thus the following explanation seems right.

雪柳 refers to a phenomenon when moist air condensing on the branches of a willow tree in late winter/early spring coats the tree in snow/ice. There are several travel articles on the web where reporters describe the phenomenon. A poetic line: 风雪柳枝挂雪摇.
寒冷天,雾滴碰到零度以下的树枝等物时,凝成白色松散的冰晶

Note that here 雪柳 does not mean "spirea" or any other plant, although the two characters can mean the plant in other contexts. It would be unusual to talk about "branches" if one were referring to the plant . . . but, again, one would have to see the painting to be absolutely certain.
