Is this a hotline for outside callers or a walk-in clinic?

There's also an out-of-hours medical care service for people who need attention while their doctor surgery is closed. It's for urgent requirements and people are encouraged to call first before attending. Some problems can be dealt with by telephone and unless something is seriously urgent we should wait until the local health centre is open when we can call there. This suggests certainly that permanence médicale refers to an emergency = unit and not a hotline

La Communauté professionnelle territoriale de santé (CPTS) du Pays de Lunel a pris cette initiative pour assurer l’accès aux soins du public et apporter une solution complémentaire aux urgences, régulièrement saturées. Ouverture prévue le samedi 15 avril.

À partir du 15 avril prochain, un médecin assurera une garde les samedis de 12h à 20h et les dimanches
et jours fériés de 8h à 20h. Une secrétaire accueillera le public. Les consultations sont
sans rdv mais il est fortement recommandé au public d’appeler le secrétariat au 07 88 03 27 11 avant de
vous rendre à la permanence médicale pour éviter les attentes trop longues. Cette permanence sera installée dans les locaux de la Croix Rouge à l’Espace Vauban à Lunel, derrière la gendarmerie.
