I included context in a prior post. Concurrente es aquel profesional (en este caso de la salud) que se desempeña como tal en hospitales, luego de haber rendido un examen, dura 4años y es ad honorem.

agree Muriel Vasconcellos : Based on the explanation at the link posted in the previous answer above, I would have said the same thing. 'Intern' is lower on the ladder. I doubt there's such a thing as an unpaid residency.
