I was wondering if anybody could help me understand what is precisely meat by libelled. The sentence below describes roadside procedures of a police patrol. Does anybody know a Polish equivalent?
"The offences were pointed out to him and he was cautioned and charged as libelled."
"The offences were pointed out to him and he was cautioned and charged as libelled."
