Spanish term

rodeadas de pulmón con aire

Spanish to English Medical Medical (general)
This is from a translation of an English original. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of it.

Las lesiones que se observan en las radiografías torácicas se pueden considerar medibles si están bien definidas y rodeadas de pulmón con aire.

"enveloped in an inflated lung"?

Try to find the source English text but I don't think the Spanish translation you are working with is too unfortunate. This is why they ask you to take a deep breath and hold it when somebody gets an X-ray done. The more air the patients takes in the more clear the film. Good luck.
