I agree... That is the question, and both meanings are potentially present, but to me "queda feísimo" is primarily a value judgment about social decorum rather than an aesthetic response. Perhaps this is a false opposition, and such value judgments are actually inherently aesthetic. No doubt the speaker finds the sight of people chewing gum unpleasant, but I think he/she is primarily saying that it is unacceptable behaviour. In European Spanish, at least, "queda feo" is commonly said of non-visual solecisms, like, say, not replying to invitations, and that is how I understand it here. But there is room for legitimate disagreement about that.

feísimo It should read "feísimo" = very ugly
feo = ugly, disgusting, awful, wrong, rude, etc (depends on how it is used)
