A lo largo del estudio que estoy traduciendo se repite constantemente el término "aporte", que estoy traduciendo exclusivametne por "contribution", sin embargo me pregunto si no sería mejor, o intercambiable con "input". Teniendo en cuenta de que se trata de un estudio técnico ¿no sería mejor preferir en casi todos los casos "input" a "contribution"?
En este caso el contexto es el siguiente ("contribución" se refiere a las ventas):
"Hemos conseguido mayor aporte de la Publicidad, pero hemos bajado el aporte de las variables comerciales debido a la caída en DP (distribución ponderada)."
Mi sugerencia:
"We have achieved a greater contribution/input from Advertising, but we have fallen/declined with respect to the contribution/input of the business variables due to the fall in WD."
En este caso el contexto es el siguiente ("contribución" se refiere a las ventas):
