Trados 2006 Freelance Installation Error Message

Hi,

I just downloaded Trados 2006 Freelance, unzipped it and it was supposed to start automatically. I get the following error message:

c:/Windows/System32/AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for executing MS-DOS or Microsoft Windows applications. Click on "Close" to exit the application.

I then tried starting start.exe directly with the same result.

I never had Windows NT on this computer, and there is no autoexec.nt in the specifie... See more

I managed to solve the problem using the information provided in the aforementioned link. As you will see, there are two ways to solve it, I solved it by doing some little "programming" in the Notepad.

You can launch the setup programs directly:

\Products\Trados\TT\setup.exe
\Products\SDLX\SDLX_2006_EN.exe

Thanks, Marius Reika, for your help. The link you gave me said to try copying autoexec.nt from the Windows/Repair folder into the System32 folder. I did that, and then I was able to install Trados.

Thanks very very much for your help. I really needed this program to run by the end of this weekend.
