I am working with Trados. What to do when Word says:
Word has insufficient memory. You will not be able to undo this action once it is completed. Do you want to continue?
Is it as serious as it sounds? So far I have just clicked yes. Any unpleasant surprises in the offing?

I have 2 gigabytes of RAM in my computer and get this message from time to time. I've noticed that I tend to get the warning if I've left my computer running for a long time without rebooting. Other than that, the message is just an annoyance, not a problem.

Restart...

Just restart Word (you might also check with Ctrl-Alt-Del if the winword.exe process is not running still - kill it then).
This should give you a few minutes/hours before Word complains again...

This was discussed not so long ago but I cannot find the link. If your document has a Table of Content, use the reveal codes command to display hidden text and see how many bookmarks you have throughout the document. That seems to be the cause of the problem. However, besides not being able to Undo your last action it seems to not be a problem although it certainly is a nuisance.

Same problem discussed in German forum

Hi Jonathan,
Seeing that German is one of your working languages, I wanted to point you to a thread in the German forum where this topic was discussed just recently: http://www.proz.com/topic/65882
In any case, the error message is common and nothing to worry about.
Marion
