Outlook 2003 - cannot receive e-mail automatically

I just bought a new computer with Windows XP and Office 2003. I use Outlook (not Outlook express) and I have to press the send/receive button to receive my e-mails. Outlook will not do it by itself. I tried the Microsoft site, the help files but I cannot find the place to configure the automatic function.
TIA

I had a similar problem couple a weeks ago. Try this: Tools/Options/Mail Setup/send-receive and than check the box "schedule an automatic send/receive every x min".
Hope it'll work.
Regards!
