Dear all,
my name is Tilmann. I sit in a wheelchair and need assistance and care all day long. For practical reasons, I decided four years ago to work at home as a translator. You set a very valuable example for all of us, every one of us has some degree disabilities, which can be overcome with intelligence and ability. The real chains that held us down are our own ideas. With my admiration.

thank you very much for your kind words.
I am a thalidomide child, i.e. I was born with short and crippled arms and legs because of the substance thalidomide (in German "Contergan") which my mother had taken before I was born. However, I have no difficulties with translating and typing with a computer and do not need much help while I am working.

Indeed! I can only encourage you to keep up with it and encourage as many people as you can to take this profession as it is simply ideal for people with reduced mobility and a love for languages, cultures and international communication.
I will be very happy to offer any advice on translation into Spanish to any people out there who might be considering this as a reasonable professional alternative and are in the same situation as yours over there.
