наших співвітчизників, які з різних причин обрали країною свого проживання та
праці ПАР. Для більшості громадян України сам цей факт уже є своєрідним
відкриттям, оскільки українську діаспору та сучасні міграційні потоки з нашої країни
головно пов’язують з Американським, Європейським, рідше з Австралійським континентами.
Однак, Африка поволі стає простором, який обирають українці для проживання,
реалізації своїх кар’єрних прагнень, і на який Україна починає звертати увагу як на
потенційний фокус своєї зовнішньополітичної діяльності.
Адже, за твердженнями експертів, Африка сьогодні – це континент, який демонструє
для світової спільноти найвищі темпи економічного зростання з показником
наймолодшого середнього віку своїх мешканців. Ми отримуємо виразні сигнали
для потенційної співпраці з африканськими країнами. Це перш за все створення
передумов для зміцнення цих країн та їхньої спільнодії, зокрема: запровадження

Translation - English The «Ukrainians of South Africa» research, conducted by the International Institute of
Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations, is unique. For the first time, the object of
scientific interest is the life of our compatriots, who for various reasons have chosen
South Africa as the country of their residence and work. For most Ukrainian citizens, this
fact is a discovery itself, because the Ukrainian diaspora and modern migration flows
from our country are mainly associated with the American, European, and less often with
the Australian continents.
However, Africa is slowly becoming a space that Ukrainians choose to live in, to pursue
their career aspirations, and to which Ukraine is beginning to pay attention as a potential
focus of its foreign policy activities.
According to experts, Africa today is a continent that demonstrates to the world community
the highest rates of economic growth with an indicator of the youngest average age of its
inhabitants. We are receiving clear signals for potential cooperation with African countries.
This is, first of all, the creation of preconditions for strengthening these countries and
their cooperation, including the introduction of a single African passport, which should
remove border issues for African citizens, and the iconic African continental Free Trade
Area agreement. The eventual introduction of the common ECO currency (with the future
of a single AFRO currency for the whole of Africa) is being considered. The dynamics of
the region and the prospects of a huge market for business have long been discovered
by foreign players in Africa. Prominent indications of this interest are the opening of
numerous diplomatic missions, led by China, the United States, France, India, Russia and
a number of other countries that are actively integrating into the economic, political and
cultural spheres of Africa.

Source text - English 2. DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION
2.1 Definitions in this Constitution:
(1) Business Day means a day that is not a Saturday, a Sunday or a public holiday or bank holiday in the place where the Company has its registered office;
(2) Association means Ukrainian Association of South Africa (UAZA).
(3) Executive Committee means the members of the UAZA executive committee;
(4) Financial year means the 12 month period specified by the executive as being the financial year of the Association;
(5) Office bearer means a person elected to any of the offices in rule 7.3
(6) Secretary means the secretary referred to in rule 7.4 and any other person elected or appointed to perform the duties of a secretary of the Association; and
(7) Special resolution means a resolution which must be passed by 75% of members entitled to vote, as the case may be and for which any notice must be provided as required by the constitution.
2.2 Interpretation
(1) Reference to:
(a) one gender includes the others;
(b) the singular includes the plural and the plural includes the singular; and
(2) Headings are for convenience only and do not form part of this constitution or affect its interpretation.

2.1 Визначення в Статуті:

(2) Асоціація – Українська асоціація в ПАРі (УАПАР);
(3) Правління – члени Правління УАПАР;
(4) Фінансовий рік – 12-місячний період, визначений керівництвом як фінансовий рік Асоціації;
(5) Посадова особа – особа, яку обрали на будь-яку з посад в п. 7.3;
