I am an Italian-to-English freelance translator from New York City, with a strong background in the arts and humanities, primarily working with commercial material in the fields of tourism, advertising, journalism, food and wine, and other cultural topics. 

I am also developing my experience and skill in the field of literary translation. Artistic and creative translation is one of my real passions in life, as I'm also a writer at heart. 

I am also a musician, with many years experience as a classical and folk violinist - which led naturally to the Italian language, and allows me great familiarity with all genres of music-related material and its related arts. 

Also completely obsessed with football (soccer to Americans). I spent two years translating from Italian and writing match commentary and opinion articles for a now-defunct English-language blog focused on Italian football, and could easily consider the area a specialty of mine.
